"Really easy to use, no fuss"
I got a Forbidden Planet gift card for my birthday and used it on the website without any hassle at all. I’ve had gift cards for other places before where the code was awkward or didn’t show the balance properly, so I was half expecting a bit of a faff, but this was really straightforward. The code worked fine at checkout, the balance appeared straight away, and I used it to order some manga and a figure. Everything went through as expected, so I’d definitely be happy to use one again.

"The Great In-Stock Letdown"
I thought everything was fine because the site said it was in stock, so I placed the order and moved on with my life. Then, a few days later, plot twist: my order got cancelled. Frustrating, honestly. If something isn’t actually available, the site really needs to make that clearer upfront

I tried to update my account details the other day, it was more frustrating than I expected. A few pages took forever to load, and some of the options weren’t very clear, so I had to click around more than I should have. I did reach out to customer support, and they eventually got back to me, but it took a while. The site itself is fine when I’m just browsing, but the account settings area feels clunky.

"Got the Wrong Cover, But It Worked Out"
They sent me the wrong cover, which was a little annoying, but I didn’t have the time or energy to deal with returning it right away. Everything else was fine, and the quality seemed okay, so I just made it work.

"Really easy to keep track of my subs"
I mostly use Forbidden Planet for my comic subscriptions, and its been straightforward so far. I like being able to add or drop titles myself, and its handy seeing whats coming up without needing to email anyone.
I had to change a couple of things on my list recently and it all went through fine, no hassle. The orders are clear, the updates make sense, and overall Im happy with how easy it is to manage everything...

It did get sorted eventually, but only after I had to escalate it, which felt like way more effort than it should’ve been. In the end it was okay, but I really wish it hadn’t taken that much chasing around to get there.

I had a good little look around the store, and yeah, I actually found some cool stuff while I was there. The staff were nice too, like they just let me browse at my own pace without hovering or anything, which I really appreciated

"I went to a signing event..."
I went to a signing event at Forbidden Planet it was such a good experience. The queue moved faster than I expected, the staff were friendly, and everyone seemed to actually know what they were doing, which made the whole thing feel relaxed even with loads of people around. Then suddenly my brain went, WAIT, I’m actually about to meet them?? But yeah, got my book signed with no stress at all. I’d definitely go again.

"Damaged item, slow return process"
The item arrived damaged, which was disappointing right away. I sent over the photos and filled out the forms like they asked, and at first I thought it would be straightforward. Then I just kept waiting for replies, and that got really frustrating. The refund did come through in the end, so I was relieved about that, but I still had to chase it up and it took longer than I expected. Not the worst experience ever, just kind of annoying overall.

I tried to place my order and the payment failed twice, but somehow I still got charged once. It’s frustrating because I didn’t even get a successful order out of it. I’m hoping customer support can sort this out quickly and offer a refund or some kind of compensation for the hassle.

They’ve got some genuinely cool products, but wow, the website feels like it was thrown together by someone who gave up halfway. The search is awkward, the filters are all over the place, and pages load way slower than they should. It’s not unusable, but it definitely makes shopping more annoying than it needs to be...

"Reservations Actually Work"
I’ve used the reserve and hold option a few times now, and every single time my stuff was actually there when I came in. No hassle, no awkward searching around, just ready to go. It’s been really reliable for comics and figures, which makes collecting feel a lot less stressful. Small thing, maybe, but it genuinely makes me happy knowing I won’t miss out

"Okay in the end, but communication was frustrating"
My order turned out fine eventually, but the whole process was more annoying than it needed to be. The website seemed to say one thing about the timing, but then I couldn’t really tell what was actually happening, which was confusing. Customer service also took ages to get back to me, and I had to follow up twice just to get a basic update. Not a terrible experience overall, but definitely frustrating...
