"Either very UNPROFESSIONAL or they’re SCAMMERS!!!"
DO NOT ORDER ITEMS ONLINE AT FORBIDDEN PLANET!

I had a bulk order of comic books well over £200 that I ordered on the 27th of April, today is now the 9th of May and I still haven’t received my order. Mind you it’s not like I live overseas, no no no, I live 30 freakin minutes from the forbidden planet store.

Yet for some reason when I checked my dpd tracking, it showed that the delivery driver had actually came to my area, but for someone unknown reason took the parcel back to forbidden planet.

I’ve sent 8 emails in the span of 2 weeks to the forbidden planet team, in those 8 emails I got 1 response. They claimed the parcel had been delivered and that was the last feedback I got.

I don’t know what kind of scam is being pulled or what tf they’re playing at over at forbidden planet, but I either want my freakin money back or I’m taking legal action cus this is pure BS.

"This rating is for online customer service"
This rating is not for the stores but a rating for the online store customer service.
Their payment systems aren't working and my payment has been refused 6 or 7 times. I've reached out to them but their replies are mostly automatic. When I did get a real person it wasn't helpful and they havnt messaged me back since even though I'm still desperate for help and they never reply after noon as they must close early. I've called head office and they've said you can only email them because customer service are still working from home due to the pandemic and they're struggling to get them to come back to work.

Edit: Their level of customer service is not great as they only accept emails and take a long time to reply. I had to fix the issue myself with little to no help but they did apologise after a complaint and issue me a £10 voucher.

"Not too bad - no issues here"
I placed an order on the 10th April and received an email stating the order has been shipped but I have still not received it and it is now the 27th April. Sent a message via their contact form on Monday 24th April but still had no response from them so unfortunately this review is to warn others to not buy online. I understand the physical stores are a different entity and as such this if for the online store only.

EDIT: I have changed my review as issue was with Royal Mail not leaving a card at my address. Contacted customer service and they advised item sent but is sitting at the post office for collection as I was not home. No card left so I assumed item has been delivered elsewhere. Anyway CS came back and gave me the details which I then gave to Royal mail who have delivered my items this morning. To be fair the online order actually went pretty well, items are all pristine and were dispatched quickly so my 1 star review is now a 5 star review as had no issues technically with Forbidden Planet online store

"Great products but poor customer service"
What I love about Forbidden Planet is the extensive range of Comics, Manga, and subscription services.

But what I hate about the website is the lack of options to get in touch with someone regarding orders. A month or two ago I subscribed to a new comic series, but my first confirmation of this was only for issue 2 even though issue 1 was still in pre-order. I tried to get in touch using their form, but to this day I still haven't heard anything regarding this. I even tried to raise a new form to highlight that I my initial form hadn't been answered and weeks had went by.

After realising that my form wasn't going to be answered, I tried to contact them via twitter, but they don't accept DM's through this platform.

The customer service is severely lacking, and the only reason I still use them at the moment is because there are no physical comic stores near me.

Update: To the person that replied to my review, my issue was never about the length of time my subscription took to arrive. My issue was about how terrible your customer service is. Not only did you not take the time to properly read my review, you have actually suggested that I get in touch via a method I have said is terrible.

Also why are none of these e-mail addresses mentioned in replies to reviews not advertised on your website.

Just have better customer service options and people will not give you crap reviews on it.

Dropped to 2 stars for a poor response. Try again next time.

"Outstanding"
A problem occured due to the Royal Mail and in my anger, I left a negative review. After a very prompt reply for customer services, I cannot praise the comany enough! I still have a little egg on my face, but it is coming off slowly!

I just wish they would give tracking information as standard. It would save a little of embarrassment for fools such as myself!
